False flag tricks work enough to suck in our government. Anyone who doubts this didn't happen on Jan. 6 is simply a fool.

Russia has had its eyes on Ukraine since at least 1667 when they split the territory with Poland.
Then Catherine the Great invaded Crimea and annexed most of the remainder of Ukraine in 1783.
Russia will always consider Ukraine to be theirs.
Unlikely the UN, NATO or current U.S. leadership can (or will try to) do much to interfere.

Well, if the "trickees" don't believe they are being tricked, sure. Just ask my friend, the Nigerian prince! Or was he the Minister of Finance? 🤔 Both?

Putin playing with Biden is like the Roadrunner playing with Wylie.

What I have learned is that Russia does not want Ukraine to join NATO and have weapons directly pointing at them. I suppose the western democracies would feel the same if a nation next to them allowed ' Warsaw pact' forces on their borders. Look at what happened when Cuba allowed Soviet missiles to be stationed there, we came close to having a Nuclear war!

My opinion, too. The Ukraine lies at the doorstep of Russia. Enough said. But not really, because the Ukraine now harbors a separatist movement siding with Russian interests, as best I can tell from previous reading. In this scenario, the Ukraine could become a buffer state lying between Russia and Western forces.

Unfortunately, when it comes to politics, people like you or srg are tiny minority. Majority of the people on both sides of the pond would believe in any BS from the mass-media. They don't remember Caribbean crisis 1962. They even don't remember "Wag the dog" movie from 1997.

Amazing how a little history can shed light on current issues isn't it?
