Born and raised in S. Dak. have hunted and eaten many over the years. Nice Photo and composition. Have lived in Colorado the last 40 years, we have pheasants but not the same.

Raised in SD and did some hunting near Aberdeen with my uncle and cousins many years ago. Brought us youngsters along so the "men" would have enough "licenses" if asked by the game warden.
I may have fired the 410 once and I remember the bird looking at me and saying "what's that -- is that all you've got?" May I ask --where was this taken? Great shot -- captures the feeling.
