Actually, I no longer remember? I remember taking a long time composing the photo. I don't remember taking any risks to reach a special place.

The meta-data says ISO=200, f22, 35mm. I also see the term HDR and PP done in DxO OpticsPro.

I was using my old Sony A77II and my Minolta 35~70mm f/4 lens (A super sharp lens!) I paid $8 for that lens on eBay. I own two copies in case one breaks.

I've been there and shot Peyto Lake well from where you did and it's nowhere as good as yours.

Your Peyto Lake shot can only be explained by being there at the right time and under the right conditions, having the right equipment, knowing what to do with it, where to point it and shoot it, and how to process it. That narrows it down for me. Thanks.

I'm glad that I splurged on the the SSM. It's fast when everything is internal.

Number two - is superb. I am writing this on a 10 year-old MacBook Pro. I'm thinking about getting a new Mac with the M1 chip. My first Mac was also the original Mac in 1984.

You do realize it's an HDR image produced by the camera it's self? It's an overwhelmingly beautiful place. The dynamic range of light shadows is more than then our limited vision can comprehend, let alone the little digital sensors within our cameras. By putting the camera into the HDR mode the camera takes multiple images in a rapid fire sequence, each image taken with a different shutter speed. Then through the use of computer magic built into the camera, it aligns the images and compresses the dynamic range so our limited computer screens can produce an image that we can comprehend. Processing the image still further lets us to take artistic license and make an image that is pleasing to our own mind. But, you already understood this.

Thank you CHG_CANON. There was no re-editing done. These are old images from years ago. The new computer is so fast that finding old forgotten images is fast and painless.
