I was down by the river (the second shot) when I heard the train coming. The track crosses the road where I was so I moved into position to capture this shot. Actually I got it coming and going. The photo I posted is it going. I thought it made a stronger composition than those shots I took of it coming ( approaching the road).
BTW I was lucky no cars tried to cross the tracks as I shot the train approaching. There is no gates at this crossing.
