I assume that by "bracket" you mean "bracken".
A search on "bracken" or "shelf ..." reveals nothing like what I see in your photo.
I did a search on "conk" and " fungus" and nothing looks like your photo. Bracket is correct... I was wrong there. If you say that grassy stuff is "conk" I can't argue... I don't know plants
