I am a North Carolina native, retired from the furniture industry, an amateur photographer, and hiker, with primary interest in landscapes, macro photography in western North Carolina. My collection of photographs consists of a mixed bag of photographs that appeal to me for one reason or another, as seen through my eyes. Always willing to learning a new technique and striving to improve the quality of my photos. Thanks

What part of NC? I'm originally from High Point - Raleigh, NC, then moved to Atlanta, and 10 years later, moved to a Gulf Beach in Florida.

My daughter had a large wedding at the Biltmore House. Isn't that near you? We had to get a 40' RV up the mountains in Asheville. It was slow going. Even the trucks were slow.
I used to go to Black Mtn. camp when I was a teenager. It was really primitive back then.

I love this picture. A late friend of mine was a life long artist and taught oil painting at our church. He used this picture in one of his sessions and we all made paintings from this scene.
