The very best Christmas story of the year. Knowing miracles still happen is heartwarming. I don’t have to wish you a Merry Christmas because you already have one. I’m happy you shared your story and my best to the angel you married.

And, oh she is an Angel! I'm on my new computer now and don't yet have access to my photo files or I would send you her photo.

Dave this the greatest news I've heard this Holiday season! From an 11 year survivor of a nephrectomy and two melanomas I am tickled to death for your good news. You went through 16 years of Hell. I hope that your many remaining years are filled with joy and pleasure. A new wife and a new lease on life...what more could you ask for?!

It was not all hell. There were periods of remission. While I was in remission I led a group of people on 30 mile hike in the mountains, I dumped one lady and replaced her with a better one while still bleeding from the surgical scar on my abdomen. I picked up her clothing and mountain bike and put it her truck telling her she had been replaced. Facing death clears up your thinking and changes your values. I should not have picked up that bike, but the bleeding stopped and and the wound healed. I moved from one home to another and got married to the Angel who came to me when I was at the lowest point in my life. It was a big wedding with many friends and relatives. I bought a dream home in the country and moved in with my new bride. We were very happy when we knew cancer was in my body and had to be beaten back with chemo. Now, "My cup runneth over."
Edit:
A photo of my wife playing her piano in our love nest.

I bought her the piano after a particularly bad chemo where she was cooking mr meals and feed me in bed. I recovered.

I'm using it to post this message. First impressions are positive. Soon I will be moving all my images that are currently stored on an external HD to the 8TB SSM on the mother board of the computer.

In other news:
I learned last week that the blood cancer I have been fighting for 16 years has been CURED! The doctor told me that I no longer have cancer and to stop taking the new experimental pills I have taking for the past two years. The pills worked. I don't have cancer. They told me 16 years ago that my cancer was incurable. That changed!

I'm happy and spending like drunken sailor. 6K$ for the computer, what the hay!

The tricky part is going to be moving all my images stored on an external HD over onto the internal 8TB of SSD and continue to use it in LR. I think Apple support will help me with that.

What a wonderful story of success you have become! And what a wonderful prize you have chosen as a reward. That machine is one HOT item. Bet you a donut that AppleCare will try to talk you into leaving your images on the external. If you do move them it could be one huge drag-and-drop! At least you will have a complete back-up. Enjoy the toy!

Maybe you are right. My thinking is 8TB is a very big SSD. I'm 82 years old now. I don't expect to take that many more photos! If I'm still taking photos when I reach 100, I'll need to buy a bigger computer.

Great news, CONGRATULATIONS!
I have a little over one year to go before I can hear those "cancer free" words.

Hang in there.

Are you also taking Zydelig?

Your doctor will probably never use the "Your cancer is cured." They like cover their butts and say things like: I durable remission. My doctor said "There is no evidence of current cancer growth, you can stop taking the pills. Should the cancer ever return we can resume the Zylelig or a different drug. When I heard the words "Should it ever return.." I heard "It's left!" Close enough for me!

Congratulations on a great purchase of a computer. But most of all CONGRATULATIONS on your cancer cure. Continue to enjoy each day and birthday as they come. (28 year survivor) Have a beautiful day Dave.
