Day 314 Daily Challenge "Fire" 11-9-2012

had a box of candles in trunk of car. heat fused them together so tried shooting as a block. have no idea what the buttons are. In Ireland burning of waste and bonfires permitted one day of the year only. June 23rd. A restaurant in Covent Garden was having preopenoing rehearsals with pizza oven

was to tired and goofy last night and had to be sure i did this while it was still dark. Burned my finger trying to get one of the candles lit...I kid you not.

I had to go for my archives for these. It is a spring tradition in our region to burn off the accumulation of dried grasses after the winter. This is also a busy season for firemen as sometimes these set fires get out of control. In my pictures you can see that this grass fire is being monitored

These pictures are of a controlled burn of an old condemned house. The local fire department used this opportunity as an exercise in fire fighting.

I really hestitated to post the house fire pics. They are so destructive and violent with the fire's fury. That fire was a few years ago, ( wasn't me). Its kind of chilly here today 0 degrees C, sure wish I had your warm cozy looking stove at my house.
