Image #1: Is fantastic and beautiful.
Image #2: I would have to have a very important reason to drive that road in that condition, even when I was young.
Beautifully executed photos
Who said bad weather calls for keeping the camera on a shelf? With bad weather get the camera out and use good techniques and your creativity. Believe me, there will be plenty of opportunities for those that keep their eyes open to see.
Both are excellent images.
Just showing off that you get rain (LOL).
I love the muddy road shot, its fantastic!!

re: #2 and your important reason, esteeeemed Mangle. How come? I mean, hey, there's not even any cattle (photogenic as they can usually be, doing cartwheels and negotiating World Peace as they often do) out there this time of year, and gnats don't buzz around when its raining. Could you possibly be as hooked into that one scraggly tree that's another quarter mile beyond??? OH NOES! I though only "I" had that tree locked in!!!!
Arrrrrrgh!
