For macro type shots I use the app "Camera+" "Snapseed Pro" is very versatile (I thought I had just snapseed, but looks like it might be snapseed pro. The latest of Camera+ is "Camera+2" and not free but looks to be worth it. Another favorite app is "Distressed FX: Plus" - I have an iPhone, but these have Android platforms as well and I'm not sure about other smartphones.
