Do any of you Hoggers have experience buying a used lens from MPB.com? How would you rate your experience with them? A friend of mine is looking for a Canon EF 400mm 4.5-5.6 prime lens he saw one advertised from them on Canon Price Watch.com
Excellent experiences both selling to and buying from them.
I have sold and bought used equipment to MPB and have always been pleased. Got a fair price for my camera equipment, and in return the items I bought from them were either as described or better.
I’ve bought and sold lens and cameras with them, my recent purchased was a Nikon 105 F/1.4E very please with MPB. I would use them in the future. Billybam
I have purchased several lenses and strobes from them. Description of items has been spot on Service, packaging and speed of delivery has been outstanding.

They are a first rate operation, both here in the USA and in Great Britain. Just like KEH, they under-promise and over-deliver. Their ratings are very conservative. They are among the very best photo dealers you hear about on UHH.

I have purchased several lenes from them and one camera (for my grandson). I have never had a problem with them. The ratings they put on the lenses and camera were NOT inflated. I did have to return one lens becouse it was not the vintage I was looking for...My error. They took it back and refunded my money right away.

I have used the UK MPB online service a couple of times and would use them again. I have found their online description of secondhand lenses to be very accurate and prices are very good indeed. The Sigma 180mm f2.8 OS macro lens I purchased was "like new" and I purchased it for £830, a marvellous saving over the brand new price of £1300.
