I have a strictly opinion question to pose about the second photo.
The question is about the floating stuff. Is it better to leave it there (because it is part of the scene)... or would it be better to process it out. There's probably no right or wrong answer. Just opinion.
I found my eye always coming back to the floating stuff. In my mind lessening the impact of the rest of the scene. Yet it's part of the scene.

I'd be interested in the opinions.

Thanks Barry for the comments.
Great feedback about the 'floating stuff'. I found it distracting too in the SOOC image, and actually removed more than half of the muck that was there. Then I got kinda tired of using the Erase tool in PSE 18 and stopped. I will reprocess the picture and remove the rest.

That works. I did just that with your pic. I put it in Lightroom and erased the junk and compared it with the original just as you did. (Though you were more careful!) My eyes did completely different things on different views.
And yet the floating stuff in that last pic is perfectly fine there.
