Good File Organizer

I have a backup HD full of older photos. My laptop holds my current pictures. Some of the LT photos are duplicates of the older ones that were brought over for various family functions. I want to send my LT pictures onto the backup drive.

Is there a file organizer that will gather everything together. Awhile back I had a program, can't remember the name, that put everything together and told me I had 2 copies of this photo or 3 copies of that one.

Also, looking for an all-in-one photo quality printer. My HP finally died.
Thank you for your help.

I have used Awesome Duplicate Finder with some success. You point it to a folder and it will look through it and give you a list of possible duplicates. It gives a "degree of similarity" number so you can not bother with things that are just kind of similar. It shows you thumbnails and you can select one or the other to delete or just leave them both. YOU have to make the decision to delete it. I would never delegate that responsibility to a piece of software.

Take a look at Photo Mechanics by Camera Bits. Highly recommended by photojournalists who need to sort and organize thousands of images from multiple shoots. For a printer I’d look at Epson.

If I understand , your needing a backup program more than a photo organizer. There are free versions available which you can set up to copy all your files from one drive to another. Depending on settings it will copy or not the newest version with the same file name. Can't remember what I use but a quick search will give you some free options and they're very flexible as to how you can set them up.
