It was priceless.

I didn't and normally don't. Usually it takes an NPR fundraising drive to get me to listen to him.

Back in Iowa we used to get the Red Green Show' on NPR. The last fundraiser they had I called in and donated $150 and asked the lady on the phone for a date.

I used to watch Red Green as well. After Red himself, my favorite character was Edgar Montrose - the dynamite enthusiast. We could use him here in the chit-chat room to clear out the crap occasionally.

I loved Edgar as well, also learned more than I ever wanted to know about dynamite.

I found that you can watch all 300 episodes of Red Green here ..
http://www.redgreen.com/library.html

and even look up your favorites by doing a search ... I just watched one of Edgar's self help sessions on 'roofing' ... quite insigtful.

Perhaps now we can introduce compromise into their lexicon.

If you look at the political landscape honestly, you will find people on both sides who are capable of compromise. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be leaders on either side who understand it.

Your wording itself is telling. While it may not have been intentional on your part, the concept of "Perhaps now we can introduce compromise into their lexicon." conveys an image of the person who thinks himself the superior imposing his vocabulary on the one he thinks inferior.

If both sides seek to understand compromise together there is the possibility of success. If one side seeks to impose compromise on the other (as your sentence construction suggests), it will be an exercise in futility for both.

I loved the Red Green Show. This country is broken beyond repair. Red Green had the right idea. It might be only a temporary fix, but you can do it with a roll of duct tape...

Your picture says a thousand words. If you really want to fix what is wrong with this country we can discuss it at the next meeting at the Possum Lodge.

I could not believe this happened to me like it did, but I can't sleep and as I laid in bed trying to go to sleep I started crying and thought of the reasons I cried about this election and not any others and came to this conclusion so I wrote it out. It is long but I have to share it with someone so why not friends on line...here goes....It is not copy righted and most likely won't be. I would love to put it on face book but it is so long...

LAST NIGHT I CRIED (Written by Anna)

I cried last night for a Great Nation lost as we know it.

I cried last night for all the children who will never know but by story about what a great Nation this was as some parents, the grandparents and great grandparents knows it now.

I cried last night for each unborn baby that won't have chance to have dreams.

I cried last night for the dream that Martin Luther King had. That all men and women be treated equal.

I cried last night for those who are taking away our rights by tearing our Constitution apart piece by piece.

I cried last night as I thought of other things that could be tore down also, all because someone may not like it. Mount Rushmore, The Statue of Liberty just to name a couple.

I cried last night for our Military and their families for those who fought and paid the ultimate price with their life and for those who are fighting now for our freedom as we know it now because, those dreams are soon to tumble down as well.

I cried last night as I lay and thought of things, like being able to at one time pray in school and say the pledge. All those days are gone because someone decided they didn't believe in God and wanted them to be removed from our schools.

I cried last night when I thought there would only be a little thought here and there to tell a story to children who may not believe them. Or would tell the person "oh your old" and laugh the story off.

I cried last night for each and every elected official who let their country and it's people down.

I cried last night for the thought of maybe one day in the not so distant future that I may not be able to attend a church due to people who don't want it to happen.

I cried last night for each and every blood drop by someone who loved this country.

I cried last night for each Police Officer as they are going to be the ones who have to do what they are told about keeping the laws under control.

I cried last night for each and every news reporter who kept the true things off the air so people would not know what was really happening and laugh about it.

I cried last night as I could see my dreams for my great grand babies going up in smoke because people hate the US so bad they want to take it away from us.

My only hope that you do NOT display your obviously psychological disorder to your children. It can be very damaging to their mental health. I suggest you seek professional counseling and not from some religious group or organization as I suspect that may be a factor in your malady.

Fortunately for Anna, Obamacare will cover her pre-existing psychiatric condition.

We dated for about 2 months and then I think the novelty wore off for her. Nice lady though and for me it was the first time I'd ever done anything so impetuous so that was actually a good experience for me.

When a political party is so successful in alienating large parts of the population - other than old white males - how can they expect to win elections. You know, it helps if you don't piss off all the women in the country. Even conservative talk show host Boortz talked about this this morning:

Quote:
Thanks, Too, To The Abortocentrists

By Neal Boortz

The Republicans lost any hope of regaining control in the Senate the minute that Republican men decided to open their traps and make idiotic comments about something that will never, ever affect them: abortion. Todd Akin (Missouri), Richard Mourdock (Indiana) and John Koster (Washington) … these MEN – and I want to emphasize their gender here – can take great pride for the role they played in handing g Obama a victory yesterday. Let’s see, we have Aiken with is brilliant comments on how a woman’s body has a way of shutting down the pregnancy mechanisms during a rape. We have Mourdock telling us that if a rape results in pregnancy it’s actually a gift from God, and we have Koster – a minor player, yes, but who cost female votes nonetheless – who said he (again, a MALE) opposed abortion in all cases except for the “rape thing.” These fools took what was arguably a woman’s greatest fear – rape at the hands of a violent stranger – and turned it into a treatise on the wonders of a women’s reproductive system knowing the difference between horrid violence and passion; a gift from God, or just a “thing.” Their brain-dead comments on abortion managed to push even more women into Obama’s column. All three of these fools lost. Mourdock and Aiken should have won. They were favored until their abortocentrism came through. These were two Senate seats that could have a made a difference. This election was close … and I guess we’ll never know how much damage they did. We do know, though, that it didn’t help one bit. These three obsessed men didn’t gain one single vote for themselves or for Romney. Not that it matters any more --- not that there’s going to be any real chance of turning things around in four years --- but the Republican Party is not doing itself any favors by catering to fools like this. If this Party wants to get serious about winning, it needs to find a way to appeal to women and get rid of this obsession over abortion. Abortion will NEVER be illegal. All you’re doing is chasing away voters. Period. The end.

All great nations fall after about two hundard year, and we keep electing leaders who are not capable of really leading and, promishing too much to people who think that the goverment owes them,I see the end of this great nation, and it is being done in from the inside, We now have these street whores spitting out little bastards being raised up too belived that just because they were born ever body owes them. and they are killing this nation.
