Yesterday there were almost 140,000 new cases and almost 2500 new deaths.

I thought the election of pervert Biden was going to cure all this and all would be sunshine and roses and covid would run scared and never be seen again.

Common questions
Where did the COVID-19 come from?
Experts say SARS-CoV-2 originated in bats. That’s also how the coronaviruses behind Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) got started. Aug 15, 2021

Coronavirus History: How did coronavirus start? https://www.webmd.com/lung/coronavirus-history

From the page you gave a link to

SARS-CoV-2 has never been found in a bat, nor any other animal in the wild, despite allegedly 50,000 animal specimens, including over 1000 bats, in and around Wuhan having been tested. Similar viruses have been found, but not Covid-19.

Which is quite unlike the case with the first SARS outbreak, where researchers found the virus in caged raccoons and civets, both of which are reportedly on the menu in China.

Since
- Covid-19 has never been found in a source animal, and
- given certain aspects of its structure and genetic make-up, and
- since it is an established fact that the Wuhan lab and the virology lab at the University of North Carolina were jointly working on gain-of-function (see their published studies from 2015 or so), and
- since it is an established fact (according to the French who built and managed the Wuhan lab until the CCP kicked them out) that the Wuhan virology lab was deficient on safety protocols,

it is therefore reasonable to consider that Covid-19 is a manmade enhanced version of a coronavirus that originated in animals, created in a lab that leaked.

Perhaps we should be funding "loss-of-function" research! (Metaphorically speaking, of course.)

I include them. Is there a part of "anyone" that you didn't understand? The man I replied to seems to have taken it personally, but I don't understand why. I directed none of the shame towards him. I'm guessing that it would apply more to right wingers than to liberals, but I don't know that so I'm not stating it as a fact. When I wrote it I had in mind anyone who finds joy in whole communities facing tragedy. It might be naïveté, but I had no idea it would be interpreted as political.

Why no source? I'm implying nothing. I included a link in my post. I'm not terribly familiar with the source so I can't vouch for it, but I don't believe it is a political rag. It probably is reasonable to consider the lab, but my understanding (which may or may not be correct) is that while the lab hasn't been ruled out, it is not the primary suspect. You are welcome to change my mind, but it will take sources and links.

Wait a second!

The flu that happens every year all over the world?
That flu?
And people die from it?
And it's been going on for 100 or more years?

That is one long ass pandemic!

You need to take that one step or two further by stating;

a) it was funded by US Taxpayer money
and
b) Fauci lied about it.

Stick to engineering. Just a friendly suggestion. I'm not trying to tell you what to do. You are (hopefully) in charge of that.
