Thanks for sending. Personally, I’m always fascinated when I get something wrong. I go into an analysis mode to figure out why I came to the wrong conclusion about something. It’s always a great learning experience.

This is the advice given by fathers to all their sons on their wedding day.

Some of the same folks camp out here on UHH. . . .
They are known locally as "Trolls".
And no, I'm not trying to start anything.

Similar to this one: "I may not always be right, BUT I am never wrong!"

I hate to admit it, but I'm that way. You see, I think I'm perfect, so when something goes wrong, I figure there's a problem with the universe.

Actually, I try to think it through so I don't make the same type of mistake again.

Without humility...enlightenment is not possible.

Also... it's okay to be the dumbest person in a room.
You will gain the most...utilizing humility.
Stick with it and your position will be replaced by someone else...as you move up.

There's a guy on YouTube whom I used a lot when I was replacing a roof - Your Average Roofer. He ends each video with, "And remember, you don't have top be excellent, just average." That removes a lot of the stress from trying to be perfect.

Yup...good advice.
Besides...it all ends in tears anyway...lol.
So take it easy...enjoy as much as you can...don't sweat the small stuff.
You will meet the 'I'm always right' folks everywhere you go.
Just smile and move past them...life is too short.

Yes! And learn how to say No to requests from people. I know a woman who just turned 70, and she spends most of every day taking care of various relatives and their pets. She's been like that all her life, though. I now say No when I have to. Life goes on.

That should be posted in every school room from K-12. My father always used to say, "There's two sides to every story." It made me question nearly everything and a better fact backed argument will go a long way in changing my mind.

Heard that one a long time ago. It puts a smile on the matter.
