I was in the Doctors office the other day and saw the frame on the wall, seen below. I thought I can use that for a composition of some kind. Took out my cell phone and snap.

Got home and started putting something together. First thing I did was mask the window frame to inserts some kind of background. I tried a few scenes before I came up with this one shown in the second image. I then decided to add a wall dining additional depth. Found the image with a wall and door. Had to knock out the image behind the door then adding a forth image. Took a couple of layers and a "Blend If" filter to keep the original light and shadows coming through the door. The frame was done using Topaz's frame feature.
Any thoughts?

Not my thing, but amazing and very well done, you'd never guess it was Made not Taken. Not sure about the white frame though. Good eye, too!

Jim, wonderfully well done. You should who your doctor this creation.

Jim, after thinking about this, I think I've come up with a phrase/genre that would encompass your work, or the work of anyone placing things in a photograph that were not there originally --- createography. A genre in which you excel.

Amazing work. The background is perfect. The additional wall and window work perfectly. The leaf shadows remove any doubt about it being a real picture except you let the cat out of the bag by telling us. This one may be your best so far.

Question: What are "Blend If" filters?

I should have said Layer style. When you right click while on a layer a new screen comes up. You can do several things within this screen one is Blend If. To get the light areas to come through I moved the underlayer's White slider that made its white areas come through.
As I made the screen shot showing the page I see I also changed the layer to Color Dodge that gave it additional separation.

Jim - really great work! πŸ‘πŸ‘
I don't have the skill (nor the patience) for composites,
but appreciate your imagination and mastery of composite creation.
Very well done...

Thank you Irene. I consider Photoshop as my hobby. When I work on these projects my mind doesn't wanter I get tunnel vision trying to figure out how two do something, it's like working on a puzzle.
