Fuji XF 50-140 f2.8 + 1.4EX or 2.0EX experience?

Anyone have actual hands-on experience using the Fuji 1.4x or 2.0x extender with the XF 50-140 f2.8? If so, what is your experience regarding sharpness on THIS combination (NOT a general comment on extenders please). Thanks in advance for any information.

The 1.4X works very well but I found the 2X delivers unacceptable performance. Lack of sharpness is noticeable.

I prefer the 1.4x on my Fuji X-T4 with that lens. I didn’t care for the 2.0x. It seemed to soft for me.

Thank you very much. Yes, that is my thought as well. I’m struggling with whether the $400-450 cost of the Fuji extender is worth the relatively small increase in FL and whether I should instead just put the $ toward the XF 100-400.
