When I post the color some say it should be black and white.
When I post the black and white some say it should be color.
So here is both of peony leaves after we had frost last night.

Funny, but I thought the first one was the B&W. I prefer the second shot.

Ignore what others say about your choice of image presentation. It’s your work, your vision.

I like both, maybe color one a bit more. First I thought the color one was B&W with Sepia tint.

I prefer the small amount of color showing on the leaves

UHH-C (that's the canine photography forum) only posts black and white. UHH-B (the one for bats) only posts Infra Red) Maybe I'm wrong about that one but I don't subscribe. I only look at color posts and would appreciate a warning in the heading so I don't waste my time looking. I appeal to any one leaning toward monochrome "Come back from the dark side"

I loved black and white when I had a darkroom in the early days. But I wished then that I could do color. Now I can.

I like the b&w better but the color version makes me look for the color…so it does catch my eye👍

(But I prefer the color.
To me the color depicts the death of the leaves better. In the B&W, they could be envisioned as green, but sickly.)

In essence, they are both monochrome - the first could be Sepia. Like them both equally. Well visualized and captured!!

I prefer #1. I think it has more contrast and depth.
