BOLSEY B2 Vintage 35mm Film Rangefinder Camera
The Bolsey B is a 35mm rangefinder camera with a cast aluminium body, introduced by Bolsey in 1947. The lens is a fixed Wollensak Anastigmat 44/3.2 with helical focusing, and the Wollensak leaf shutter gives T, B, 10–200 speeds. The rangefinder is of the split-image type, coupled to the lens but separate from the viewfinder.
The Bolsey B2 is the successor of the model B, made from 1949 to 1956 with double exposure prevention. It is engraved MODEL B2 on the front. The shutter is synchronized and marked Synchro Matic with a red lightning painted on each side. Minimal aperture is 22 instead of 16.
I'm sorry that my camera collection seems to upset many of you: however, if they weren't with me , many would be in a landfill.
Does not upset me, keep posting. Find these old cameras very interesting.

I think your collection is great. Though I have less stuff, I'd love to get it into some sort of glass fronted case where I could see it all and be able to pick something for use without rummaging through a cabinet full of cases and bags with tags! You go!
Vague recollection that Bolsey was mostly movie cameras?
Enjoying viewing your collection. Keep posting, please!
Love these old photo-making classics; they just don't make them like they used to. My Kodak Signet 40 always gets attention when I wear it to street festivals, craft & car shows, & local gatherings.
Thanks for sharing your collection of vintage cameras and the informative history behind them for I would never have seen nor have known about these 'cameras of the day'. Today's digital cameras are microprocessor-based devices, more like computers than cameras of old. Vintage cameras were based on craftsmanship, hand-built using tools of the day. True works of art!
Thank you for sharing. Personally I love the older 35 mm cameras as they remind me of when I started with my dad's Petri 1.9 range finder. I learned a great deal from that camera and it got me started.
My first 35mm camera was a Bolsey. I do not think it was this model, but a later one. I got it used around 1955. It got the job done.
Me too. I especially appreciate the effort you take to add an informative, historic note about the item.

Keep posting, I sure enjoy your old cameras.
Like yourself I too collect old cameras. Currently I have about 200 in my collection, the Bolsey B2 is in there. I would like to collect more but $$$$$ restricts what I am able to buy. If anyone reading this has suggestions on old and unusual cameras to hunt down and purchase please share your thoughts @ dll5791@gmail.com. Thank you.
I don't understand why your post would "upset" anyone. What is the problem?
