Since all the Ospreys have migrated, I have had to search for new subjects to photograph. Since we have a plethora of Canadian Geese at our local lake, but I find them uninteresting subjects, I thought I’d try panning them in flight. This turns out to be harder than I thought. Shooting them at 1/60 sec while flying against an interesting background, may streak the background but easily looses focus on the main subject. My best results are presented for your review and suggestions.

Wonderful set. I tried panning like that once. The results were so bad I have given up on it

Thanks everyone for all your comments. I must admit that I threw at least a thousand shots away to get these. I suppose it might be easier with cameras that had modern sophisticated eye tracking capabilities.

Not bad! Note their names are Canada Geese, not Canadian.
