I could not get Elements 2021 to work properly, so Adobe tech support gave me a refund. Now, I am looking for an alternative. Any suggestions?

Are you using an old operating system, and / or an old or undersized computer? Your root-cause problems with PSE-2021 may be an impediment to all candidate software.

What are you using currently or in the past for software digital editing?

To get useful assistance you might include the computer, OS, RAM, etc. that you are currently using.

Coral Paintshop Pro
Has a 30 day free trial.
It is a very competent post Processing option.
It is also less expensive than PSE and has frequent sales.

You could also try Luminar or Topaz Studio2. Good luck.

Elements should work, if your equipment is fairly recent.

I am using windows 10. I use it for post processing digital images made with my Nikon d850 w/ 500 f5.6 lens and other lenses. Photoshop elements is totally adequate, but not being able to scroll is a real nuisance.

Pixlr. It's free online- and quite capable! I use the free version or there is a "Pay" version if you want. I don't want, And yes... I have Adobe Elements (14) also.

If you need a Data Asset Management then I would look at On1 if you don’t then as said Affinity is a great choice. It has a free trial - is only $50 (they put sales on sometimes where it is half price but they just ended one so I think it will be some time before they do it again).
