I can't wait until tomorrow. Maybe the R3 and the Z9 will finally catch up with my old favorite the Linhof 6X17!

It actually needs a new crystal, so Io plan to get it serviced soon, but I would never get it done yearly. Two reasons: cost, and the possibility that every time the case is opened, there’s a chance that it may not be sealed correctly and no longer waterproof.

Mine ran perfectly for over twenty years before it needed service. Also now worth about four times what it originally sold for.

Why would ANYONE wear their watch in the shower?? Doesn't your wrist appreciate getting washed?

Pretty sure my wrist is adequately washed 😎. I just never take it off, and it doesn't hurt to clean the watch either - they do accumulate crud around the links in the band.

Now back to Canons (or other cameras...)

I’ve gotten some great tips and ideas from UHH and thank you to those constructive folks. However, the originating comments and the following thread are why I ignore much/most of the rest.

Contrast that with me, a Canon user since 1972.
No plans on changing either.
Besides, I enjoy his quips.

You're right, nothing is as obnoxious as other people's camera brands.

Since its inception, photography has been a creature of technology and its steady advances. History tells us so.

What will be the reaction this time, while there's still time to read all about the mirrorless meteor on the photography sites, read about the sensors, the eye-tracking AF, the frames per second, the EVF? What would the DSLRinosaurs have done if they'd had all that lead-time to react?

The caterpillar thought it was the end of the world. But then, it was handed a Canon and became a butterfly.

Art is a major distraction from the technology of photography.

I now have, for me, Beaucoup $$$ invested in Canon DSLR and Mirrorless equipment.
That being said I'm confused as to why any Wrist-Watch-O'saurs would wear a wrist watch???
That is if you have a cell phone with an accurate time display.
Or you could use your cell to call the: U.S. Naval Observatory Master Clock, or go online to: https://www.usno.navy.mil/USNO/time

U.S. Naval Observatory Master Clock:
Telephone Time
USNO provides both voice announcements of the time, and services to synchronize systems over telephone modems.

Voice Announcers
The voice announcements have the same pattern at both sites, and always begin with the local time (daylight or standard). The local time announcements are made on the minute, and 15, 30, and 45 seconds after the minute. Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is announced five seconds after the local time.

Time may be delayed on long-distance calls.

Isn't it strange that so many folks take photos with their cellphones (mirrorless) yet resist and argue about going mirrorless with their other cameras?

We put thing on this blog to inform or entertain others. Then we have some that attack the person or the product. Today all cameras are good and most all readers are trying to entertain or give help. Most attacks are uncalled for.
