Admin or algorithm moved my first post to Buy/Sell.

I have been looking at studio lighting kits. The FotodioX STUDIO-BOX-LED550-20X20 has good reviews from B&H and includes LED interior lighting. If you have one do you recommend it? I would also welcome suggestions for others manufacturers. My top budget is $100.00, I have light panels and goose neck LED lights so interior lighting need not be part of the package.

Doesn't look like responses are coming in. Haven't used studio lights in years, but there is a lot of info on line. I searched Best Softbox under$100.

No it doesn't. Guess I'll do the Google route.

Softbox and Studio Box are two entirely different items with different purposes.

I do a lot of Lightbox photography, but I'm not familiar with the FotodioX STUDIO-BOX-LED550-20X20

I'm using a Neewer 24" light box and love it, here's the link:

Hope this helps

Umbrellas work just fine, too. Many sizes. Very inexpensive.

Look up lighting diagrams on the Internet.

I purchased a 24" kit from Walmart a few years back. The brand was from LS Photography. The box light box folds up flat and the sides attach with velcro. It came with 4 backdrop colors (black, red, blue, white) that attached with velcro inside the box. It also came with 3 light stands with LED bulbs included. Two stands were short, approx. 24" so you could light the subject in the box from the sides. The third stand was taller with a boom so you could light the inside of the box from the top. It also includes a carry case. With tax, it cost $102.95.

I did not see the same one on the Walmart website tonight, but the did have others. I also went to the LS Photo website, but did not see the same one I have. They do have similar ones to mine, but it looks like a lot of them are marked "sold out" or "out of stock". Link is below.

I also included a link to one on Amazon. Its a different brand with different lighting than mine (Led Lightbars mounted inside the box it looks like).

https://www.amazon.com/Dimmable-Photography-Lighting-Shooting-Backdrops/dp/B07MTGNGB9/ref=sr_1_37?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Photo+Studio+Equipment&qid=1630996012&s=photo&sr=1-37&ts_id=3443921

I am happy with the one that I have. I also think from looking at different setups that they are pretty similar.

Interested in DIY? Look at the three topics that start with word "lightbox" in this resource thread:

And also rmalarz's "Light tent and masking."

Thanks Linda. I don't do much DIY these days. Left hand tremors make it too frustrating. Checked out the link to Bob's post. Some really good information there
