Lifetime Warranty

I don't remember what product this great warranty covers, but I made a note of then terms. 
"LIFETIME WARRANTY 50000 hours of lifespan.1 year warranty and 30 days free replacement or refunds guarantee"

There are only 8760 hours in a year so the 50,000 is meaningless. After one year your warranty ends even if you have had the light on 24/7! I guess some people can be impressed with big numbers!

Reminds me of a local ad for flooring which offers, "We beat competition by 15% or it is free!" I'll bet they never had to gave away a free floor!

Yeah, just try to collect on that warranty. The comp[any will be gone a week after you receive the product.

Sounds just like your typical car warranty.

The way I see it lifetime warranty is the ultimate marketing gimmick since if the object fails we describe it saying it died.

Beware of long term warranties. Buy from a reputable company.
My transmission went out. Mistakenly I went to Aamco Transmission. I paid extra upgrading to a Billet torque converter to Aamco for their 10 year warranty (that they no longer have). Six years later my transmission failed. They had a never ending list of stipulations in their lengthy agreement that they know no one reads that made it impossible to meet. They are masters at getting out of their warranties. I went to a recommended shop to replace my tranny.

Or until the product breaks. Remember those companies that offered rust protection for cars. They all went out of business after collecting a fortune from car owners.
