Anyone get the following message when trying to search the internet?

This site can’t be reached
Check if there is a typo in ____.com.
If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

I have to run network diagnostic a couple of times a week. My internet comes in on the same cable/modem as our phone and cable TV which can sometimes mess with the IP address. Especially if Spectrum sends out some type of upgrade/patch. WND finds and fixes that while I go get something to drink or visit the "facilities".

I don't know to what browser you are referring.

When mine states a site cannot be reached:
· My router lost the internet connection.
· My computer lost the connection to the router.
· The desired site server is off-line/down (not accessible).
· My ISP has a problem.
· There could be a problem on the backbone, ie. Communication problems between geographic locations.

Another possibility: The Name Server for the site could be down. Rare as the info is usually replicated in different places.

I find that I get that message far more often when I search with my VPN on. When I shut it off and research for that same site I instantly get through.

I just had exactly the same problem. Several sites were affected. Ran a scan no virus's found. I ran a program called Tech mate from MaAfee, it finished running and told me it fixed 1 problem it found and tada no error messages. One of the things affected was hedgehog. It would come up in my email but when I clicked on the link I got that error message. Good luck.
