I moved up to the 7500, and it is really good. Nikon dumbed it down a bit, with 1 card and no motor drive, but it is a very capable camera.

the D500 is a great camera and all your lenses will work. fm lenses work even better as the center of an fm lens is sharpest. plus you can't over run the buffer even if you shoot 200 pics at once.
