CONGRALUTATION,MACK, I was going to retire at 60, didn't
happen, then 62, still didn't happen. Now I'm 65, working
7 days a week with every other Sundays off, and looking
at 70 hopefully. Wish you the best, enjoy.
It seems I retired very young so that I can work for nothing. Whats up with that? congratulation
Congrats Mack. I have 1 1/2 years to go. So I can work full time in my own studio. Good luck. My dad says retiremenT is EVERYTHING it's cracked uP to be. He has not stopped traveling in 15 years. Says keeping busy will keep you healthy and alive.
At the age of 82 he leaves on a missionary trip to Cuba tomorrow!
Don't be suprized to find out when you have nothing to do it will still take
you all day to get done. Retired last year. It is great.

I did it at 53 from public school...just a few years ago...
2 seconds before they froze the cost of living increases of the pension. OH well...still couldnt be happier. I volunteer my time now at a nature preserve...trees and wildflowers have fewer problems than school kids and there parents...
and Im pretty sure my photog skills have improved...
You will love it. everyday you can decide what to do with your time...ITS YOURS..congrats and enjoy many years of it.
Congratulations on retirement. Most people would say I am retarded. I am past retirement age,but I am a Consulting Forester and love my work, So I continue to work in the woods most every day. Don't move as fast as I used to though.
Congratulations! I retired nine years ago. Took me some time to figure out how to use all of the new time. Now my days are so full I wonder how I ever managed to work eight to ten hours a day and do anything else. My advice, for what it is worth, is find things you enjoy and keep both your mind and body engaged. Photography has always been a passion for me- I built a darkroom in a corner of my dads garage when I was a kid and taught myself to do a lot of "post-processing". Later got too busy school, marriage, raising a family, etc. and photography became just picture taking. Now I have the time to re-learn photography and post-processing all over again. Problem is there still isn't enough time to do everything I would like to. ;). Enjoy!
I've been retired for 11 years and loved every minute of it! I love to travel and photograph the places I've been. I hope your retirement is as fulfilling as you have been expecting it to be.

Retired coming up on two years now - when I was employed had time for anything, now retired seems as if I have little time for anything!
have one for me, retired myself, can't think of a better job
Mach enjoy your retirement. When I was young and working I enjoyed my job didn't love it but it was a good career in electrical Engineering. Always thought I needed to win the lottery to become really happy. But never did. Then I discovered I had cancer and decided to retire. Got through the cancer dance and now see life entirely differently. I took up photography an RC flying combined the two hobbies and have never looked back. Funny how life can broadside you but it takes something like that to put life into perspective. I now treasure those few precious things in life I have. My wife, my children, my health. Good luck God speed.
Congradulations on retireing. I only have 1 more year to go off all goes well.
Congrats and well deserved. I retired in June this year and plans are to increase my traveling to fill my bucket list as well as taking some classes at college to keep busy.
God bless!
my dad retired at 72,he gardened in the summer and sat back the rest of the year.he enjoyed life for 29 more yrs.
i retired 10 yrs ago, tossed my watch and scheduled more down time per day, so far so good. i do what i can as much or little as i want. i worry about those my age who"have to" work. i also worry about my friends who feel they have to be bussier than when they were working, and defend it by trying to make me feel laazy. It aint working.
