A fantastic set of images!!! Gary
Around noon? geez, the day is half over at 9:00 am
Yesterday morning was nice out here but a tad humid but the light was fantastic!!!
But I didn't do a thing, just messed around waiting for my new Zero-Turn mower to arrive, while waiting I received my case trimmer and found out the case holders for it are proprietary , another $40 , Oh well
Mower arrived, finished mowing and you are right, I got HOT but I was finished.
The old mower had problems which I couldn't repair without spending more than I wanted to and dropping the Hydrostatic transmissions Again!!!
Should have bought the mower last year, the new one is more comfortable, rides better and a bout 10" shorter but 6" wider.
A fantastic set of images!!! Gary br Around noon? ... (show quote)

Thanks, Manglesphoto. It was the humidity that got me to pack it up. I was drenched and when your perspiration does not evaporate it is nature's way of telling you something is likely to go wrong. Regarding reloading ammo, I've used several types of case trimmers ranging from the simple to the complex. My favorite was the Lyman Universal Case Trimmer Kit that had pilots that fit an assortment of case faces and the trimming length could be set for whatever the length required.

Thanks, Brenda. I go the entire summer without seeing any for they are so good at blending in and then yesterday I saw TWO of them. It must have been my reward for doing something good...I wish I knew what it was.

We live in Arnold so I walk about Cliff Cave Park along the river bottom area. The weeds are tall and thick there which is were I find things to be undisturbed and critters are less skittish with all the cover. Bee Tree is another park in the area however I use it for wooded sessions.

Very fine set! I seldom see mantis nymphs, but starting soon, I should see a few adults of our two local species. Funny how that is.

Thanks, Mark. I've only seen one tiny mantis nymph in all my outings. I'm sure that it's not because they aren't out there for it is they are experts at blending in to their habitat to go unnoticed. I know that there is an unexplored world in the trees too and my search is limited to my height so anything in foliage over six feet goes unnoticed.

These two finds were highly entertaining as I watched them slowly climb around stretching out their forelegs and pulling themselves along. It reminded me of how orangutans pull themselves about using those long powerful arms.
