I liked this scene. I've driven by this hundreds of times but there really isn't a good place to stop and grab a pic. This was from a quiet morning when the road was deserted.

Great image. There used to be an old tractor in the woods beside a road I often used and I always wanted to photograph it, but there was no place to park and now it has disappeared.
Truly one of the machines that helped build America. It's difficult to imagine how much mechanized farm equipment helped transform the nation. The horse and plow could only produce so much and the labor was grueling for both man and beast. The population of the growing cities depended upon a steady supply of food in quantities that only larger farms could meet. It it were not for tractors, more families would have to rely on producing their own staples.
