On cloudy days in the late afternoon, I just sit on the bluffs and wait for the sun to break thru the clouds. It makes for dramatic scenes, but the light don't last long.
iphone 12 using the Moment photo app, bracketing 3 exposures.
Nice! Does the Moment app bracket for you or do you have to manually adjust each exposure?
Absolutely Gorgeous Mike - well done!
Thanks Bill for visiting and your thumbs up.

Gorgous set, Mike!
Thanks Mike. Just a little different landscape than what you see there in Utah. We get these morning marine layers which turns everything gray, but when it starts to break up, the views get quite interesting.

Hi Fstop12, the Moment app brackets for you. It takes 3 images, raw or jpg, and stores them individually in the camera roll. You can manually adjust the EC of the (-) and (+) images separately between -4 and +4 stops. These scenes exceeded the DR of the iphone, so bracketing was one methods of getting the shot. Then digital blending or HDR is done separately.

Beautifully done.
Hi Joe, glad you enjoyed the scenes.
Thanks John for the nice comment.
BTW, I just love the 'Don't write to be understood;....' quote in your signature. I've referenced that quote several time.

Thanks Bill, when you live with these scenes every day, you have a tendency to take them for granted. Sometimes I just need to stop and appreciate the view and then share with others.
Posting here just helps show what these smartphones are capable of.
