Yesterday (Sunday) we went to the State Fair in Indianapolis for two reasons: I wanted to see my scores in the annual photo contest, and I always enjoy going (have been attending since I was seven or eight--unfortunately, last years’ was cancelled). I got third place in the black and white Nature and Scenic Division and scored well with my other entry. The most satisfying feeling, though, was seeing crowds of people out enjoying themselves again. That was really the best part of the trip.
(Side note: If you have a doom and gloom Covid response, save it for someone else.)
Congrats on winning. We have two local state fairs, but I'm skipping both of them. The Covid numbers have been shooting up daily.
Congratulations on your success, jaymatt. The most memorable thing to me from the State Fair of Michigan from the Fifties was the fine performance of the Detroit Mounted Police. And we're not talking just a few horses. The second was the daredevils on the auto track.
As mentioned above, please post the photographs that you entered!!
Congratulations, John. And, yes, it's great to get out.

Congratulations on winning.
I'm hoping to enter something in ours next year but this year the fair was too big for my liking.
Opening day they had over a hundred thousand people attending.
