My heart goes out to you people in the west who are suffering in triple digit heat. It's been warm but pleasant here, with only one or two days in the 90s. Many of you also have the fires to contend with. Life on earth is tough. There's excessive heat, fires, floods, locusts, and ticks, to name just a few problems. Then, of course, we have the people-against-people problem. I hope we all get through this and experience a more pleasant life in the near future.

These dire weather 'conditions' have multiplied in the last two years...it doesn't bode well for the future.

I live in an area of CA where the temp. reaches triple digits but work in an area where the temp. is only in the double digits and it feels like it is freezing.

Triple digits? It's built into the calendar here in Texas. 67 straight days in '80. We were young, didn't have a lot of money. Lot of money, dang, any money we had was already spent. So, when the a/c died, all we had was fans. My wife did tell me it was the best I ever looked. Didn't have to PAY for no sauna, either!!
