A Boiler and the rivets have rusted into a conical shape.
Whatever it is, it looks like it is embedded in sand.
Could it be an old trunk designed to keep people from sitting on it.

I had a very old compressor with a riveted tank that came to mind but the way the rivets appear pointed. We need another clue!!!
