Years of experience, not just guesswork, see, also try vasoline, thin, in a circular motion leaving a clear centre spot, sellotape, crinkled coloured sweet papers (plastic).

Use a Cokin P holder

Never ever put vasoline or any other material directly on your lens. Put it on a cheap filter but not on the lens.

That is waht I meant, sorry if that was not clear, hence COKIN FILTER HOLDER

I got the picture :) it was clearer when you mentioned the filter on your next post as well, and after I did a little old google on the filter holder it all made sense. I really appreciate your tips, thank you

:D

Hi all, my name is Tom, been following Ugly Hedgehog for a while now with the daily emails, picked up some great and useful advise along the way. Got myself an entry level Canon 1100D with the 18-55 Kit and a 55-250 EFS f/4-5.6 IS lens as well. Here's a few pics of mine, critisize away, I need all the help I can get :)

Hi, Tom. You have a lovely family. Your #2 photo is gorgeous, a little PP on the others would make them pop.
Welcome to the forum. I think you will get a lot of helpful info here and have a lot of laughs at the same time. Enjoy!

Hi Jo, thank you for the comment about my family that was lovely, at the risk of looking a little dumb, though I seem to find that quite easy !! what is PP? I think the forum is great, so many people willing to advise, its really refreshing

Nothing to get excited about, I enjoy helping anyone, but some will see it for the wrong reasons, will look over the weekend.

OOPS, sorry. PP = Post processing. Not dumb at all, just that we seems to short-cut when we can.
OOC means straight "out of the camera", no PP.
OP means "original poster"
You will pick it all up when you're well addicted to the site  and your fingers get tired of typing all that stuff. Have fun!
