Looks like a really nice hike. I think I like the texture of the roots in path the best.

For an old man, the hike can be taxing, but the results are so satisfying. There are several passages where I doubt the trail classification, but the two I posted presented the best photo ops.

The trails were a challenge, but the results were worth it, Susan, thanks for your feedback.

I'm a big admirer of your photography and #3 caught my eye. It probably nails the rule of thirds to a T but I think that the lower right ½ adds to much of a harsh contrast and dominates the upper half which, to me, is the most scenic part of the image with its soft, subtle, & reflective color transitions. I'd be inclined toward a more panoramic crop to refocus on what I view as the most beautiful part of the image.
For what it's worth.

The attached set is composed of shots from my hike up the Brighton Lakes Loop that either got overlooked or did not seem to fit with other postings.

Again, I would appreciate your feedback on any shots you like or dislike. Suggestions are also welcomed.

I like 2 and the gnarly tree.

I never tend to judge anybody’s work fore I believe that photography as any art can be subjective. Somebody may prefer Malevich’s Black Square over Leonardo’s Gioconda...I do like the set, and particularly #2.

Thanks, Mark. #4 was one of my deliberate "artsy" shots.

I really enjoy these. Especially 1,2 & 6. What you captured with the first image is fascinating. The water appears to be frozen ice, although I know that it is flowing. I like waterfalls and babbling brooks. On my bucket list is to capture a waterfall or brook and make it appear silky. The easy trail in image 6, where is this trail located? I would like to visit it. I live in Pennsylvania. Image 2 is very beautiful and tranquil. Great job!

Thank you for taking the time to look and your feedback, Brad. These are shots from my hike up the Brighton Lakes Trail in Brighton, Utah at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. It is a 4.4 mile loop around three mountain lakes. I posted landscape and wildflower photos from this hike earlier.

To achieve the silky look with water, slow down your shutter speed and experiment with the results.

Thank you for providing the location.
