Heads Up on Shipping Delays from KEH

Hello Folks;

A member of the wonderful KEH Sales Department just reached out to me in regard to an order that has been delayed because of shipping difficulties now being experienced at the FedEx Hub in Austell Georgia.

KEH has always provided stellar support and product over the past decade and the fact that they got back to me so quickly speaks well of their integrity. If you have purchased or sent equipment to KEH recently then there may be unexpected delays...

Below is the message I just received moments ago...

"Hello Thomas and thanks for your purchase.

Unfortunately with the new covid outbreaks among non vaccinated people is once again causing shipping disruptions and heavy delays.

We have been instructed by FedEx to ask that customers remain patience and the order will process through their system. Or the customer can have us reach out to FedEx for the item to be returned to us for a refund.

Current delays are running about 10-14 days out of the Austell hub..."

Hope this helps to bring clarity to those currently relying on KEH.
Please stay safe. Thanks!

That Austell, Ga hub has been in the news re delays dating back to last year. Nothing to do with Covid outbreaks of unvaccinated people. KEH needs to check their facts.

The FedEx problem is not localized, it is across most of the country. And mainly due to the folks who refuse to get vac. Go figure.

Just a shout out for KEH. Their service is second to none. I bought a used lens, had intermittent focus problems and i noticed a crack in the mount that holds the contacts. When it didn't focus, if i 'installed firmly', it would focus, but that's not a fix option.

Returned outside the 'exchange' period. Service determined it had to be sent to Nikon, completion date unknown. Have event scheduled 9/1 and wanted more time to learn the characteristics, and in 'my hands'. KEH offered to exchange or refund, i chose exchange 7/27, received in Illinois 7/30.

They offered an outstanding solution without any haggling on my part.

I'll be back!

ALL of last year's Covid outbreaks were among unvaccinated people. And "once again" FedEx is experiencing delays because of unvaccinated people. This is going on all over the place...AGAIN. It has EVERYTHING to do with unvaccinated people.

Maybe the political aspect of the vaccine started way before the election by democrats and people are listening to their earlier comments. They have themselves to blame on this.

Below is a recent new report about this very issue:

https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/some-georgia-business-owners-say-they-are-fed-up-with-fedex

Not sure if its Covid related, but sure seems a lot of people are riled up about, I can't blame them though.

Me thinks you need to expand your sources. I pass no judgement on covid, vaccine, pro/con, but i do know this:

1. Current highest infection rate per capita is on UK naval vessels, where sailors were 100% vaccinated.

2. Last week, Massachusetts announced that 74% of recent cases were 100% vaccinated.

3. Even CDC admits the vaccine won't prevent contraction, but lessens the impact, which just might make it harder to track, easier to pass to others, if the patient doesn't really know they have it.

4. It's no secret that vaccinated people contract, the CDC calls those 'breakthrough' and 'expected'.

5. Emergency use requires risk/reward disclosure, administer only to high risk individuals, no marketing or peer pressure, per what I've read are the FDA guidelines, perhaps true or not, I'm no expert, just listening to those with initials and job descriptions who claim to be.

6. Lots of information and opinions, makes it hard to separate the truth from ideology.

This is outside the venue, but gross misinformation isn't helpful when facts are so easy to find.

Can we please stick to FedEx and KEH bashing and not begin a vax argument?

I ordered this past week from KEH - arrived in Connecticut in two days. Perhaps it didn't go through the hub?

Why are you capitalizing aka yelling? Read this link and then tell me where it says anything about covid:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox5atlanta.com/news/some-georgia-business-owners-say-they-are-fed-up-with-fedex.amp

If you google this specific topic at fedex at that hub in Georgia, you will see plenty of articles and none say anything about covid and non-vaccination. Stop fear mongering. It does nothing to help anything.

And yes, all of last years covid cases were amongst the unvaccinated because there were NO vaccines.

FedEx has been unreliable, all over, for quite some time. KEH remains a superior vendor, IMHO!
