I am not surprised by the news in the first link.

I found the second link very interesting... especially the 'About' tab.

Of course Teas has a lot of cases. Biden's immigration plan is making sure of that. As to Florida, vacationers are seeing to that. So, what's your point?

You are amazingly clairvoyant. You should sell your analytical skills and talent services.

Are you seriously trying to claim that a bunch of untested illegals coming into the state isn't helping create the surge of cases? Sometimes cause and effect are really pretty simple. This seems to be one of those times. I guess you didn't see Pesaki's awkward response to a question about exactly that either Thursday or Friday, whichever day it was.

I believe the entry into the US of people infected with COVID could be contributing to the surge, but it seems you believe it to be the main factor; a simple cause and effect. Yet you ignore the fact that the surge is also happening in other areas of the country where the vaccination rate is low; an even bigger data set that suggests cause and effect.

My comment of "clairvoyance" was simply pointing out that you are quite confident that you have the problem and solution nailed down. It just sounded very Trumpian to me, but I doubt that curbing immigration would "make the virus go away."

If it’s no big deal, as you seem to think it is, why is the Canadian border locked down tighter than a gnat’s ass. Would you support your country taking in hundreds if thousands people from all over the world without checking them and then sending them all over Canada?

No, I would support taking in hundreds if thousands people from all over the world, checking them for health and many other things, and then sending them all over Canada.

The reason for closing a border during a pandemic is to contain and deal with the current problem without adding fuel to the fire, so to speak. But there is nothing wrong with stacking good wood onto the woodpile.

Here are the top 10 States in regards to actual & REAL numbers of active cases as of 8/1/2021. While Florida and Texas are certainly in the top 10, they are far from having the highest number of cases. It's also interesting to note that 6 of the top ten are Dem run States.

1 California 1,796,552
2 Virginia 625,937
3 Maryland 447,626
4 Florida 307,969
5 Washington 237,938
6 Rhode Island 142,135
7 Texas 131,826
8 Michigan 117,755
9 Missouri 92,364
10 New York 86,444

Delta Dawn, what is that virus you have on?

Could it be a variant from days gone by?

And didn't I hear you say that the undertaker

was meeting you here today to take you

to God's mansion in the sky?

Get Vaccinated.

The statistic more relevant is the % of total population. Note the red states.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109004/coronavirus-covid19-cases-rate-us-americans-by-state/

Then look at community transmission rate.
