Amazing sequence, a coyote trying to take down an apex predator!
Your first shot of the grizzly is off the charts good. Thanks for sharing.
Two weeks ago A coyote came into our yard and took about 15 laying hens. Two days later my wife shouted inside our front door that "the coyote is back". I had time to grab my 22 caliber colt 1911 and step outside barefoot and in my underwear. I got off one shot at it while he was stopped looking right at me. He was about 70 yards when i fired. It stumbled to his left and ran off to his right. We haven't seen it since, but had a rotting smell coming out of the corn field for about two - three days. Shooting a hand gun is like taking a picture. By the way, we haven't lost any more chickens since, and I'm the neighborhood hero.

This poor bear was being pestered unrelentingly! We watched it chase it around for a good half hour or more. They eventually went up a hill and out of sight with the coyote right behind!
Like a dog chasing a car . . . .What will the coyote do if he catches the bear?
Now that could get ugly!
An outstanding series. I bet she had pups in the area.

It was quite interesting to watch. The bear was just trying to ignore the coyote!
Wow, what a great series! Very cool to be there and see that.

We all wondered if that was the case, but if so she sure followed it a long way. I got my exercise running down the road, with tripod and camera, to try and stay in front of the action!!!

Fantastic capture. Wonder if the coyote was a mother with pups to protect.
Maybe, but if so she sure kept at it for a long time! We were all running down the road trying to stay in front of them. Must have gone close to a mile, then they went up a hill with coyote right behind!
That's one brave (or stupid) coyote.
Great series !!! I wonder ? Thank you for sharing. Shang

Nice sequence. I expect this coyote had some young ones nearby and was chasing off a predator that she felt was a threat to her family.
That is a good sequence. Maybe a mama coyote seeing off the bear to protect her cubs.
