Good point. I guess staying alive and helping prevent other people from dying isn't as good a motivator as a hundred bucks for some people. If I were really political and a firm believer in pure Darwinism, I'd be happy so many anti-vaccers are choosing "Death by Delta" over a "slight pinch." Trouble is, COVID Delta variant patients are taking medical resources away from other people in serious need of medical attention. A news article quoted a politician as saying someone refusing vaccination and contracting COVID should be denied access to any hospital supported by federal or state funds. Pretty harsh but there's a certain logic to it. Then again you could say the same for a long-time smoker seeking treatment for lung cancer.
