These people hate themselves. However, the other side of the aisle is NOT without dishonorable mention. Both of our undistinguishable political parties have lost their ideals. Both have become so full of hate for each other they have lost their vision of the future. When I was in school people kept their political beliefs to themselves until they got into the voting machine. Only then was their belief the political power it always has been. Now, society has allowed politics to infest every facet of our lives. Too bad, for politics has its proper place for 364 days a year, the sewer! On that ONE day of the year politics is front and center, and Americans vote! Your very post gives credance to my post. Why in July do you vent on this subject?

To be unable to discuss politics without fighting over it seems to me to be a personality disorder. I'll discuss politics with anyone. I won't fight about politics with anyone who isn't in a position to change anything. That is most of us.

Are you suggesting that no one should discuss politics, exchange ideas, or otherwise evaluate,, critique and analyze political initiatives and policies except on election day?
How would the politicians know which way to vote to best represent their constituents if no one voiced a political opinion except on Election Day?

Sadly NO politicians represent their constituents on either side.
They vote in their best personal interest to gain power, money and preserve their position in Washington away from the constituent "SCUM".

Your post belies your young age and lack of experience. Young know-nothings always seek to blame "society" for allowing such and such 'things' to happen. Wake up! You and your friends are society. And the worst part is that you have young skulls full of mush waiting for some savior to come and set things straight. Take personal responsibility for a position that you have researched and not been fed by biased sources.
Politics is important and it matters in everyone's daily life. In fact, everyone's life, liberty, and ability to pursue their happiness.
I used to think Democrats were just people with bad ideas. Now I am becoming aware that they are also 'bad' people.

You prove my point. Democrats have no good ideas so they have resorted to becoming evil incarnate.

You have proven my point. Republicans have no idea at all and have resorted to becoming very evil incarnate.
