BTW I’m using phone or iPad to take this picture. I don’t see any way to reverse the image. Positive/negative.

I sometimes take a picture of directions, data, other writing for future reference. Sometimes it will be black letters on a white page/background. That prints just fine. Other times it may be white letters on a black background. When I try to print that picture my printer uses a ton of black ink. Is there any way to reverse that image so it changes to black letters on a white background? Sort of a negative/positive reversal.

Any software with a curves tool can do it. Open the image in your post-production software. Start the Curves tool. Invert the angle of the curve (it starts as a straight line from black on left to white on right) so it goes from white on left to black on right. Save the file and print it. It's a bit tricky to grab the ends of the curve with your mouse, but once you do it a few times, it's easy.
