It was a "biggie", that's for sure! Thanks, Nanaval.

That is a monster of a wasp and a brilliant picture
Yes, you're right, Ronjay. Mine is a Scoliid wasp, but I didn't know that at the time I posted.

Excellent capture, Dixiegirl. Thanks for posting it.
Wow, whatever it is, it's a great shot....Very detailed...What equipment did you use for this capture?
And thanks for looking, Cameraniac!

Thanks, Scott! I used a Canon 5D MkII and Canon 100mm macro lens.

Beautiful shot. Thanks for the information on your equipment, think I'm heading to the store now. Matching your quality is another thing, Very nice!

Give it a rest buddy. Life and you, don't have to be so tough.
I've just posted in the regular photo gallery and and will continue to post there until my "macro setup" is together and meets "your" requirements. Until then, rest, relax and take a chill pill.
Gary
Well, I would do that very thing if I had a set-up, but I don't. I used only natural light and a tripod. I was out there to shoot flowers and came across that wasp bedding down on a spent clematis bloom for the night.
