D850 [ in BULB ] when using a Wireless and Wired Remote or manually firing the camera - extra "resetting"

When I use my D850 in Bulb mode with either a Wireless remote or Wired remote there seems to be an " extra reset click.".
Here is what happens with both of these remotes. This also happens when I have the the camera in BULB mode and I don't use a remote...

I press the shutter button on the remote ..I hear the shutter open...then I press it again and I hear the shutter close and  then a second or two later I hear another "click."....Does anyone know what this click would be?

When I use these two remotes on my D500 or D750 this DOES NOT happen. Can anyone tell me what this is...Thanks

There are a few possibilities. If you have the camera set to a determined shutter speed and use a timing remote (yes i get confused and do this occasionally) instead of B, you get a mess of extra clicks. If in Bulb and using mirror up, then you are in for a double set of clicks, either your doing or at the end of the 30 sec period. While you won't get extra clicks, the sounds of the clicks varies if you have electronic front shutter curtain engaged (d6). Finally, if you have a delay inserted (d5) it will raise the mirror on the beginning of the delay and then get you that extra click as it finishes.

Based on description in the original post, I believe it is the mirror return.

Perhaps also long exposure noise reduction finishing its 2nd exposure?

This seems the most plausible. The first click could be mirror lockup if the OP has that function enabled, second open shutter, third close shutter and return mirror.
