I get them almost daily from banks I don’t have accounts with, especially Chase.

For any such message like this, the best move is to not reply to any connection from the email. Instead, contact the actual business or bank along verified channels.

I agree with Mark. Even when I get an email from my bank, I go directly to my bank's website in another browser rather than clicking on the email link. These scammers can counterfeit bank logos and such to make it look like a legitimate email.

Very common scam. Never click on the link to sign in, if you have an account with the bank go to their web site to sign in!

Most of us had better grammar than this by the time we were in 4th grade. Someone pointed out last week that they do this on purpose to weed out smart people who might respond but who will not end up providing personal information...

If they send out enough emails, they'll eventually hit someone who uses that bank.

I get many a month from PayPal, all fake! Even after I mark as spam they keep coming, so they must be from different sources.

They are from different sources.
Computers get infected and send the crap (again) from the newly infected computer.
