Beautiful! How long a lens did you use?

Thank you, Ben. Oh, it sticks out the front of the camera about 7-1/2 inches...or thereabouts...

Sorry, Ben. I couldn't resist that. It's a Zeiss 24 - 600 (35mm equiv.), zoom in Sony's RX10M4 bridge camera. No tripod, so I was holding it against the door-frame.

Nice shot! I have gotten to the point at which I never want to take another shot of the full moon. Too washed out! The side lighting is so much more interesting.

Sorry about my first reply, Clark. On re-reading I note that you were now shooting the less-than full moons, not just going to.

You got it! Congratulations on achieving your goal

Thank you, Craig. I don't know if I've reached it or not. To get the "best possible" with my camera, I may have to go 1200 to 1500 miles south from here. At least 50 miles inland is a big improvement over home.

Finally got a nice moon away from the haze of high moisture at home.

I have never seen one better than that. . . Well done

Thank you, Kip. Nice to know one doesn't have to spend 5 grand to get good photos.
