Sometimes Rainbows just don't work

A couple of nights ago some pop-up thunderstorms came through the Lehigh Valley. With intermittent periods of rain and sun I was sure there would be rainbows around. I jumped in the car and began circulating to find one. I did find one but it was very dim and would not have been a good shot. On the way back home, the sun was low in the sky and there were some excellent cloud formations. Here are a few shots I took:

These are every bit as beautiful as a rainbow. The light on the clouds is awesome.

This site is usually loaded with superlatives for very ordinary photos. Yours... especially the first three are indeed superlative. How nice it is to see something special.
