I think they are great shots. Crisp and clear. Wish I could have taken that kind of action shots when my son was playing football! Hence the :thumbup: :thumbup: .

The camera I used was a Canon 1000d. 70-300mm lens with a UV filter on it and the setting I used was sports

Great shots!!!!! My kids played soccer and I took 1000's of pictures. It's not easy but if you shoot continuous and not single frame, you might get the ball in pictures and that would show more action. Just a thought.

Yes thats what I will do when i shoot them next. but when i did these photographs i did them last year for my college work and my brief was to not have the ball in the shot and focus on the shapes and forms that they create whilst playing football because sometimes it looks like they are dancing ( extended legs, jumping, crunched up etc) if that makes any sense?
