I failed a Health and Safety course at the Senior Center today. One of the questions was:

"In the event of a fire , what steps would you take?"

"F***ing big ones" was apparently the wrong answer.

Some years ago, in my previous life, I was asked to write a procedural memo for employees to follow in the event of a fire in our new building. At the follow-up meeting with employees I reviewed every step of the procedure and then solicited questions, if there were any. One employee asked," What if we're stuck in the bathroom when the alarm goes off?" I re[lied, "Evacuate, and then immediately leave the building."
