I wouldn’t think of not putting an OtterBox on my IPhones. Been using them on both IPhones for many years, and probably dropped them a hundred times total with never any damage. First thing I did when I took my wife’s new IPhone out of the box last month was put a new OtterBox on it - worth every penny.

THEY STILL MAKE THOSE!!!!

wow

My LG v20 is designed to remove the battery and put it in a charger. You take out the battery from the charger, place the dis-charged battery in the charger and the charged battery in the phone, and poof, you have a fully charged battery in 15 seconds. You can also plug it in just like any other cell phone.

It is by far the greatest feature of any cell phone I've owned. The only draw back is you can't go swimming with it. Who does that anyway.

Well, the other problem is LG only made this for one year, and then discontinued it. Why they would discontinue such an awesome feature is beyond me.

We put Otterbox on our cell phones. My wife dropped her phone from the 5th floor, it hit bushes and then mulch. It just needed to be dusted off.

Over the years, I have dropped my phone with Otterbox dozens of times onto tile or concrete. (from hand level)

As long as we’re talking about non-photo apps, too.

Wanted to put in a plug for SaiSuke calendar app ( also Saiduke Lite which is free but has ads). Not the newer Saisuke2, which I do not like.

The Apple Calendar on the phone shows entries

The Apple Calendar on the phone shows entries (in month view) only as dots, can’t tel what’s happening. Have to open each dot to look. SaiSuke syncs with the Calender but has much better display. You can read the entry (although small selectable fonts) and see multi day entries as continuous bars. Much easier.

Mine has a lot of red entries (mine are blue). The red are my wife’s shared calendar. Very convenient.

But without SaiSuke I’d not want to use the calendar.

If you can get a phone-holder that will attach to a tripod, or a phone tripod and some night-sky apps that tell you where the dark areas are and where & when what will rise or set, that phone can do some excellent astrophotography.

Got this one from Amazon, pretty sturdy and also comes with a little remote:

Phone Tripod Mount with Remote 360 Rotation Smartphone Holder Adapter Compatible with iPhone 11 Pro Xs Max XR X 8 7 6 6s Plus Samsung Nexus
Yes, downloading an image to my computer is terribly difficult: 1) tap the Photos app to open it, 2) tap the image you want to download, 3) tap the icon that looks like a square with an arrow pointing up out of it, 4) tap the icon that's titled "Sam's iMac" and wait about 5 seconds for it to download [if you don't have an icon titled "Sam's iMac," tap the icon titled "AirDrop" and select the device you want to download to, in my case "Sam's iMac."
In step 2: press “select” in top right of your screen, then tap all the photos you want to send to Sam’s iMac, (or, select the first one then drag your finger across and down to the bottom) each one will have a blue checkmark and the total selected will be shown at the bottom. It might take more than 5 seconds but they will all go in a single batch, then back on your phone they will all still be selected, so if you want you can batch delete them by pressing the Trashcan in the lower right.

I understand the confusion trying to find an App on a page full of them.
This seems like an obvious solution(s) but perhaps not:
1. I put all my apps related to iPhone Photography on the same page: camera, Photos, and a couple of others. Then I just scroll to that page. Or….
2. You can create a Folder with all your photography Apps by dragging one App on top of another. Keep doing that until all your Apps are in the same Folder.

If you have a LOT of Apps on your phone method #1 adds another Page to flip through when looking for any App.

Method #2: It’s easy to put this Folder on your Home Page but the folder will kind of blend in with all the other Apps around it. A Folder looks different than an App so it’s not too bad to pick out of a crowd of Apps.

Hope this helps

Apple Books has a free 1400+ page guide, “iPhone User Guide to iOS 14.5,” along with some paid alternatives…

You have Apple Books app on your iPhone.

First off, any apps you have on the phone can be deleted. You can slim down the number of apps by putting all of them you don't want into a folder called Hidden. That way they are always readily available if you decide you want to use them.
I have the iPhone 12+Max and love it.

Snapseed is the best free app to download. You’ll be able to do many thing to a photo to enhance or remove to your pictures. I’ve place 5 years in a row in our photo club annual contest all on my I phone pictures. Here is one of my favorites by a I phone 7.

Geese, do you want some cheese to go with all the whine? I love my iPhone. That for the heads up about Astro photography.
